A visit here is like walking through the pages of a childhood fairytale.
With its historic mix of the Moorish, Gothic and Manueline architecture, this ornate palace will transport you to another time. There are banquet rooms, coat of arms rooms, a 'swan room' and 'magpie rooms', all with magnificent glass-tiled windows, polychrome ceilings and enough chintz to make you squint from the glare.

Entry is four euros, and free for children under 14.
