Expert review of Flamenco Dance Museum

A flash of flamenco in this beautifully restored palace.

Opened in April 2006 as a result of a private initiative sponsored by Seville's first lady of flamenco Cristina Hoyos, the museum has both permanent and temporary exhibitions, and as well as an extensive collection of memorabilia, it makes much use of modern audiovisual technology to show how flamenco has developed. There are also classes in various aspects of flamenco and flamenco shows every evening at 7.30 and 9pm.

Price advice:

Entrance is 10 euros, children 6 euros, groups 8 euros per person.

For the earlier 40 minute Flamenco show the prices are: 15 euros, children 10 euros, groups 12 euros per person

For the later 1 hour Flamenco show the prices are: 23 euros,  children 15 euros, groups 20 euros per person

Depending on the day (it's more expensive at weekends) you can get a package deal of  a museum visit and flamenco show. Check at the museum for prices.

Expert tips:
A really interesting option - not advertised - is to take a tour of the museum, see a live flamenco show, and also take a private flamenco dance class, all for just 25 euros. Ask at the front desk.
