The great artists former home and studio in the hills above Palma.

One of the best things about Miró’s former place of work is the sheer concentration of it in one space. The collection comprises more than 1000 pieces, along with the grounds and buildings themselves. For me it’s one of the greatest art museums anywhere in the world, the highlight being his cartoonish, yet completely stunning, sculptures.

Price advice: 

6 euros adults, 3 euros for children aged under 12.

Expert tips: 
The museum is free on May 18 (International Museum Day), June 24 (St Joan’s Day) and December 19 (the museums anniversary).
