Expert review of Cala Falco

Secluded little beach surrounded by pine covered cliffs, and just 15 minutes from Palma.

Cala Falco is one of my favourite beaches for a quick hop from the city. I discovered it a few years ago taking the back route to Magaluf (follow signs from Portals Nous to Cala Vinyes) and was surprised to find at the end of a sand track this pocket-sized patch of heaven, complete with a beach bar (summer only), and very civilised sun loungers and parasols.

Expert tips:
A short drive from here is Cala Mago, the island’s first official tourist beach where you can visit the ancient fisherman’s chapel of Cove de la Mare de Déu, built into the cliffs.
Eating in these parts is pricey, so you might want to consider bringing a cool bag and a picnic.
