Expert review of Cork Museum
It might not sound like an obvious winner but believe me this fun little museum is definitely worth a visit. The Catalans are famously good at design and that includes museum design, so this is an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Before tourism transformed the Costa Brava in the 1950s, the area’s prime industries were fishing and cork and the museum takes you through an entertaining and fascinating history of the local cork trade with all kinds of quirky art pieces and artefacts made of cork. There’s also a very good shop selling all kinds of cork items which are great for souvenirs or gifts.
Ordinary Ticket: 3 euros. Reduction ticket (students and senior citizens): 1.50 euros. Groups (more than 10 people): 1.50 euros.
