Best for Watersports - Expert review of Mistral Beach
Cool, young families flock here for the beach bar and watersports.
This is my favourite beach in Marbella if I want a fun-filled afternoon without a hint of pretension. For me, it has it all: a large bamboo-framed restaurant and bar right on the sand, comfy sun loungers on the edge of the water and a watersports base if you fancy a bit of banana-boating or jet-skiing.
Price advice:
A sunbed and umbrella for the day will cost six euros. Lunch works out to be on average 20 euros a head.
Expert tips:
Park up the lane from the beach on a piece of converted wasteland. For one euro, a man, authorised by the Town Hall, will look after your car until you come back.
It gets very busy in August so get there early if you’d like a sun lounger, or call the restaurant and book some. Alternatively, lay your towel out and have a picnic.
