Best for Families - Expert review of Zoo Aquarium
Pandas, koalas, meerkats, dolphins... Everyone say aah!
Madrid's large modern zoo is home to around 6,000 animals from some 500 species. There are gorillas, Bengal and white tigers, lions, bears and chimpanzees. In the aquarium, you feel you are walking down to the shore, into the sea and out to a coral reef. Watch out fo the sharks! See the dolphins showing off, and don't miss the eagles and vultures swooping over the lake. It's worth going just to see the pandas, particularly since two baby pandas, De De and Po, were born at the zoo in September 2010.
Price advice:
Adult admission 19.40 euros. Children (3-7 years) 15.70 euros.
Expert tips:
Tickets including food also available.
The zoo is very near the funfair, so easy to do both.
