Lovely local beach with calm waters and lively bars.
This lovely beach just outside the island's capital is studded with palm tress. I often come here mid afternoon to relax on the sands before moving on to one of the many beachside bars to watch the sunset. A series of reefs close to the shore form a kind of sea-water swimming pool, making this a good spot for calm, relatively safe bathing. Playa Reducto tends to attracts locals more than tourists and has a friendly atmosphere with a pretty lively after dark scene.

Good for young children due to the calm waters created by the reefs.
Spend the afternoon here and move on to one of the many local bars.
