Expert review of Pueblo Chico
The Canary Islands perfectly reproduced in miniature.
Although officially in La Orotava, the site is actually much closer to Puerto de la Cruz.
So much more than just a model village, I was very pleasantly surprised by how good Pueblo Chico is. The exhibits are perfect replicas of the real thing, down to every last detail.
Set in extensive grounds, the models take you on a journey from the Canary Islands' Guanche origins, through their historic towns to their modern face, adding humour and sound effects as they go.
Price advice:
Adults cost 12.50 euros, and children (4-11 years) 6.50 euros.
Expert tips:
You don't really need the audio headphones, there's enough detail in the leaflet and it's easier to follow.
Don't miss the comic touches like the dog stealing the pizza, and the teenage lad spying on his topless sunbathing neighbour.
