Expert review of Anthropological Museum

500 years of Canarian life set in an 18th-century house.

The beautiful 18th-century Casa de Carta chronicles the dress, beliefs, culture and lifestyle of Canarians over the centuries and presents them like a snapshot in time.

The rooms, kitchen and gardens are all fascinating places to wander around and there are several excellent collections including traditional costumes and musical instruments.

The house itself is a beautiful mansion with beamed ceilings, wooden floors and traditional carved balconies.

Price advice:

Entrance is 3 euros. It's free on Sundays.

Expert tips:
Don't miss the wine press and the traditional farming methods exhibits beyond the formal and kitchen gardens.
