Expert review of The Bond Museum
The must-see attraction for film fans and Bond addicts alike.
A relatively new opening in Keswick, the independently owned Bond Museum is perfect for some dads-and-sons bonding. Especially if you're a fan of Britain's best-loved spy on Her Majesty's Secret Service.
The hangar-like building is home to a vast collection of cars from all the films. My favourite? Roger Moore's Lotus Esprit Turbo from For Your Eyes Only – I had the dinky toy.
Bringing it up to date, look out for the Landrover used by Obanno when he meets with Mr White and Le Chiffe in Uganda in Casino Royale.
Price advice:
General admission is £6; children aged £4.
Expert tips:
For a rainy day, car-loving kids could combine Bond with its sister museum, Cars of the Stars, also in Keswick. Both have budget-priced admission.
If you want to take pictures of the cars, the management make you buy the overpriced brochure. Don't bother.
