Expert review of Caves C’an Marca
Over 100,000 years old, the caves of Can Marca – one of my favourite places to pit stop when taking friends on a tour of the island’s north – were once used by pirates and smugglers, and you can still see the evidence of their escape routes on the walls. It’s a quick and basic multi-lingual tour but gives you enough insight into the history, and enough stalagmites, stalactites, fossilized waterbeds to last your whole holiday!
Open all year round. Adults 8 euros and children under 12 4.50 euros. Children under 5 are free.
