Expert review of Bonj les Bains

Hvar Town’s most sophisticated beach club.

If you like to swim and sun yourself without getting gritty, try Bonj Les Bains, a concrete bathing area rimmed by a 1930’s white stone colonnade, overlooking a lovely pine-scented azure bay. Amenities including private stone cabanas, teak sun beds, big white umbrellas, and romantic baldachini (four-poster beds with chiffon drapes). The Sensori O spa offers massage with aromatic oils, as well as morning yoga sessions on the waterside terrace, while the Colonnade beach bar shakes sparkling champagne cocktails and the rooftop Veranda lounge-restaurant serves fresh seafood and healthy salads. To really splash out, hire a private pontoon jutting out into the water (reservations essential in peak season). The beach has been awarded a Blue Flag for high environmental standards. It lies a 10-min walk west of town, close to the Amfora.

Price advice:

Sun bed and table for one day, 200 kunas.

Two sun beds and table for one day, 350 kunas.

Baldachin for two persons for one day, 1000 kunas.

Expert tips:
