Expert review of Hong Kong Space Museum

Quite the best (and only) planetarium in Hong Kong.

The space museum's egg-like dome is easily recognisable from the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. Numerous arresting shows are screened on the underside of its rounded ceiling in the Space Theatre, while the audience lies back beneath, eyes agog and senses super charged. The various other outer space displays in the museum are interesting, but the real highlight - and main reason for coming here - is the theatre.

I took my daughter here for a birthday treat some years ago, and she still talks about it even now.

Price advice:

Pay for the best seats at the Omnimax show (HK$32) - it's worth it.

Expert tips:
The Cultural Centre is next door.
