Expert review of Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence

Great for military buffs (and non buffs for that matter).

There are three good reasons to come here: it's a well interpreted slice of Hong Kong's history; there are some superb views across the harbour to Kowloon and what was the old airport at Kai Tak; and it's well removed from the beaten tourist track (and the neighbourhood of Shau Kei Wan has a quirky ancient/modern feel to it).

Price advice:

This would still be a bargain even if they doubled or trebled the HK$10 admission.

Expert tips:
Good for a picnic if the weather cooperates.
