Expert review of Xscape

Glasgow’s premier multi-entertainment destination with an emphasis on high octane thrills.

Xscape is pure and simple great family fun. A cross between an American shopping mall and an extreme sports playground, Xscape is hugely popular with adventurous locals and sports fanatics at the weekend. Inside, the complex has SNO!zone – the country’s only indoor slope and the UK 's longest at 200 metres – two indoor adventure golf courses, a 22 lane ten pin bowling site, a free standing climbing wall, an aerial assault park (not for me as I’m terrified of heights), a sky-diving fan drop and a vast soft-ball play zone for pre-schoolers. Phew! All in, it’s a comprehensive proposition of 100 per cent fun. Make sure you bring enough cash though.

Price advice:

Prices vary depending on the activity.

In particular, SNO!Zone charges £21 for a three hour session or £16 for a two hour session for both adults and children.

Rock climbing is £20 per 90 minute session (discounts are available when booking online at www.climbzone.co.uk).

Adventure golf costs £5 for 5-16 years and £7 for adults.

Bowlplex costs £4 per adult and £3.20 for a junior from Monday to Friday. During peak times (from 6pm on Friday until close on Sunday), prices rise to £5.70 and £4.70 respectively.

Expert tips:
SNO!zone is a great place to come during the summer to practice tricks and jumps – but only a taster for the real thing up in Glencoe and the Cairngorms, which during a good winter can’t be beat.
Each activity and zone has its own opening times.
