Expert review of Aviva Stadium

Join 50,000 fans at Dublin's spectacular new Aviva Stadium for international sporting fixtures.

I remember shivering with frozen hands and feet as a young rugby supporter in the grounds of the old Lansdowne Road, which is no more after a 400 million euro investment to create the impressive rolling glass fascade of the Aviva Stadium, Dublin's newest sporting venue and now a major landmark. The stadium is an impressive construction, with 18 bars and 16 food outlets, and is far more inviting with all seats now covered by a roof. The new development also boasts much improved facilities for wheelchairs and disabled access.

If there's no sporting event on, Aviva Stadium tours give you the opportunity to walk through the players' tunnel in the stadium or to sit on a seat in the team dressing rooms. Contact tours@avivastadium.ie or call 01 238 2300 for more info. Stadium tour gift vouchers are available.

Price advice:

Check website for ticket prices. Stadium tours are 10euros for adults, 5euros for kids and under three year olds are free.
