Skiing, in a shopping centre, in a desert. Only in Dubai.
Saying that you've been skiing (or better still, learned to ski) on real snow in a desert is something few holiday destinations offer. In Dubai, however, things are different and Ski Dubai has become a firm favourite among tourists and locals alike. Set in a huge indoor snow centre in Mall of the Emirates (meaning you can combine skiing and shopping), Ski Dubai has a frankly enormous ski slope (made from fresh snow produced each day), plus a snow park for the kids.
Price advice:
Snow Park: 120 dirhams adults, 110 dirhams children. Ski slope (2 hours): 180 dirhams adults, 150 dirhams children. All prices include equipment and clothing hire.
Expert tips:
3 hours for 2 on Mondays 8pm-11pm.
