Aquaventure

Dubai has two waterparks, Wild Wadi, next to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the newer Aquaventure, part of the vast Atlantis resort at the tip of The Palm Jumeirah, the huge manmade palm-shaped island off the coast. Both are good fun, but as the newest, Aquaventre probably wins out, with a rather iconic location and packed full of rides. For a chilled experience you can sit on a rubber ring all day and float around the various rapids. Or for something a little more stomach-churning, there's the Leap of Faith's vertical drop. It's a popular spot, which often entails queues for many of the popular rides, and there are perhaps a few too many speedos on display, but it's still a great way to spend a day.
