Expert review of Nyhavn to the Little Mermaid

One of the prettiest, most historic city centre walks.

This short walk of about a mile takes in lively Nyhhavn, Frederiksstaden - home to Danish royalty - the castle at Kastellet and finally the tiny, lovelorn havefrue (mermaid). She's tiny and some say something of a let-down, but having returned from her recent trip to Shanghai's World Expo, it's good to see her slender outline gracing the rock again, looking out over perhaps the loveliest and most interesting stretch of Copenhagen's harbour.

This walk isn't official or signposted, but it's pretty straighforward if you take a map and take in the sights I've outlined above.
