A treasure house of Nordic and ancient history.
The wonderful natonal museum offers some startling insights into Nordic and especially Danish culture down the centuries, from Stone Age tools to 18th century Danish furniture. The big drawcards include Viking weaponry and armour, impressive rune stones and, most stunning of all, the 3,500-year-old Sun Chariot.
There's also a toy museum for children and a small selection of artefacts from the ancient world including Roman coins and Egyptian mummies.
