Expert review of Malahide Town and Castle
A must do in good weather - Malahide is well worth the 30 minute journey from Dublin. Take the DART rail line, it's a beautiful journey along the coast, with a historical castle and beautiful gardens to explore when you get there, as well as scenic Malahide town with excellent seafood restaurants, cosy cafes and traditional pubs, you'll have plenty to do. Afterwards, stroll down to the seafront for ocean views. In summer months, Malahide is a hive of coastal activity and watersports.
Malahide Castle tickets are 7.50euros for adults, 6.30euros for kids and 4.70euros for kids under 12 years with family tickets for 18euros, which is included on the Dublin Pass www.dublinpass.ie.
