Animal magic on the very tip of the city.
For hearty, wholesome family fun, look no further than Cefn Mably Farm Park. Cardiff once used to be home to a great little city farm, just south of the centre, but where this loses out on its precursor’s quirky urban charm, it more than makes up for in setting. And indeed activities. Set on the most eastern rim of the city limit, the roar of the inner city din is swapped for the chaotic cacophony of their animal’s grunts, crows and snuffles. The children can get fully involved and interact with the animals, learn how farms work and get well acquainted with all manner of furry friends.
With a large indoor area, complete with cosy cafe respite for parents, pony rides and an intriguing human-furnished living room that’s home to cats, this is a fine family day out.

Cefn Mably Farm costs £4.50 for £4 for children. Family tickets for two adults and two children costs £16.

Take some spare change for the animal food, pony rides and diggers.
