Expert review of Es Trenc

3 kms of white, powder sand and gin clear water, no wonder it’s Majorca’s most famous beach.

More than any other beach on the island this one says to me, space, and lots of it. Even in the middle of August, you should be able to find a patch to call your own. Of course, there is a price, and the price at Es Trenc is that it can and does get blustery, which can be a bit frustrating. Fortunately you can usually find a more sheltered area by the dunes. The middle of the beach is largely naturist, with families spread out either side. It also has a handful of good chiringuitos dotted along the whole length.

Price advice:

6 euros parking.

Expert tips:
Don’t miss a pomada at one of the beach bars. Made with Xoriguer Gin from neighbouring Menorca, and lemon ice, it’s the most refreshing sundowner on the island.
