Expert review of Cantillon Brewery

Last-remaining working brewery in Brussels.

Seventy years ago, Brussels contained over 50 breweries. Today, Cantillon is the sole survivor. Located in the Anderlecht district, west of the city centre, this family brewery bottles its own particular blend of Lambic, Gueuze, Faro and Kriek beers and acts as a living museum to keep the city’s history of brewing alive. You can wander around on your own, admiring century-old barrels, copper boiling vats and cooling room or book ahead for a guided tour.

Price advice:

Admission 6 euros, includes a free beer. It costs two vouchers from The Must of Brussels booklet (see Brussels insider tips) to gain free entry.

Expert tips:
Lemmonier and Clemenceau are the nearest metro stations.
