Best for Watersports - Expert review of Aqualandia
Europe’s first water-ride theme park, and still going strong.
Despite the draw of Benidorm’s wonderful beaches, Aqualandia is still one of its major attractions. Scary water slides, lazy lagoons, a drift down the Amazon or tumble in the Atlantic surf. There’s even an artificial beach. For the adventurous you can try their two kamikaze runs, including the black hole, which drops into darkness, and some pretty terrifying water chutes. A new feature is added every year, and dozens of lifeguards are always on patrol. The same company owns MundoMar, next door, an animal theme park that lets you swim with dolphins and has lots of feeding shows etc.
Price advice:
From 21-28 euros full day, 17-21 euros half day. Can be combined with a ticket for Mundomar.
Expert tips:
A full day is probably two much for either, so the combined ticket is better value. Still an expensive day out for a family, though. Be wary of add-ons at MundoMar, photos, feeding etc.
