Expert review of Malapesquera Beach
This is quite rightly the most popular beach in town.
This busy 700 metre-long, 50 metre-wide beach, next to the marina, is a hive of activity. The newly-installed beach volley area, the jet-ski lodge and the Nautical Centre, where you can hire sailing boats, means this is a popular choice for the young and sporty.
For those wanting a less active day at the beach there are parasols and sun loungers, a pretty ‘rockery oasis’ with towering palm tees, and the promenade leading to the beach is chock-a-block with cafés and restaurants.
Price advice:
A sunbed and parasol for the day is five euros. Hire of a jet ski is normally about 20 euros for 10 minutes. Of course, the beach itself is free.
Expert tips:
Don’t sit too near the beach volley pitches - a wayward ball can hurt if it lands on you!
Park in the marina and take a stroll to the beach
