Best for Posing - Expert review of Fashion Museum

Get a passion for fashion in Bath’s trendiest museum.

Fashionistas rejoice – there’s a whole fabulous museum here dedicated to the clothes industry, which is housed in the beautiful Georgian Assembly Rooms. I’m not renowned for my fashion sense, but I love the rows of slightly-creepy mannequins sporting fashion through the ages. Special exhibitions are the highlight – at the moment there is a retrospective of Helmut Lang’s pieces and the museum has opened up its stores of historic fashion.

Price advice:

Adult tickets cost £7.

Expert tips:
Save money with a combined ticket to the Roman Baths for £15.
Free audio guides include a tour of the Assembly Rooms when there are no functions on.
Stop at the cafe (open 11am-4pm) for a drink on the terrace in summer.
Allow around two hours to enjoy the museum and audio tour.
Get discounts here with the Bath Visitor Card (available for £3 from the tourist office by the Abbey).
Two for one on entry with a train ticket, check the 'visit Bath' website for more details as this offer tends to be seasonal Oct-Apr.
