Trendsetting gallery in up-and-coming Metaxourgio.
The red light district of Metaxourgio is gradually being colonised by artists’ lofts and galleries. The Breeder is the coolest of them all. There’s no sign outside the black metal door lodged in a plain white cube. The dramatic interior is all angular black and white lines broken up by exposed concrete columns. It’s clean-cut but cutting-edge. The copper bar on the second floor is where the hippest art opening parties happen. With more than 550 square metres of exhibition space spread across four floors, the Breeder is a place to hang out as well as check out new art.

New in October 2010, The Breeder Feeder (www.thebreederfeeder.blogspot.com) is a pop-up restaurant on the second floor of the gallery. With a brilliant post-modern design by Angelos Angelidakis, it’s the coolest supper club – ever. Open Tues, Thurs, Fri from 9pm.
