Expert review of Athens Walking Tours

Navigate the chaotic metropolis with enthusiastic experts.

The centre of Athens is compact enough to explore on foot. But the roaring traffic and haphazard signage don’t make it easy for newcomers to navigate. Professional guide Despina Savvidou spotted a gap in the market and founded this walking tour company. Today, she works with 20 tour guides with different areas of expertise. All are entertaining and easy-going. The most popular tour goes through Plaka and up to the Acropolis. Tours usually start at 10am outside the Parliament to watch the changing of the guards. More often than not, a stray dog called Blacky will join the group – he even knows all the routes by heart.

Price advice:

Prices vary depending on the length of tour. Starting from €29.

Expert tips:
Take a sun hat.
