Outdoor lounge with great views of city and stars.
Perhaps the hottest spot in the city when the sun shines, DEQ opened its doors in 2011 and immediately attracted a slew of the city's most stylish to its outdoor terrace. There are no reservations taken, so it's a good idea to show up early if you've your heart set on a seat by the fire pits.
Food and drink:
The lunch and dinner menus are made up of share plates, but they're not as pricey as you might expect at the Ritz Carlton. The wine list, too, has some to suit most budgets.
Recommended dishes:
The lunch and dinner menus offer items such as baby spinach and arugula (or rocket, as it is in the UK) salad for $14 to share plates of slow cooked beef back riibs ($19), sweet potato fries ($6) and smoked trout flatbreads ($12).
Ambience:
Vibrant and exciting, especially on a summer evening when a big money after work crowd fills the space. As evening progresses, it gets a bit more mellow, but it's always a well-dressed place.
Service:
Excellent, well, it is the Ritz Carlton.

Right in the heart of downtown.
Tables to book:
If you're lucky you'll get seats by the fireplace. No reservations, though, so just be extra nice to the host.
