Classic Portuguese food given a modern twist.
This is a real place for hardcore foodies. Owned by some of Lisbon's top chefs and a sommelier, the ethos of the place is aimed at focusing the diner on what's on the plate and in the glass, alone. The décor is stripped down to the point of being almost bare, the waiters are all passionate foodies themselves and the excellent food and drink really does speak for itself.
Food and drink:
The everchanging menu is very local and seasonal with an emphasis on a southern European cooking style. The wine-list is as extensive as it is excellent.
Recommended dishes:
The menu changes all the time, but look out for the squid ink risotto and the shellfish soup.
Ambience:
On the whole this place is quite casual.
Service:
Reall good service here. The staff really know their food and wine and share their knowledge well.
Location:
Not far from Sintra's train station, it's easy to find.
Price advice:
The lunch set-menu is excellent value at 13 euros.
