Expert review of Café Saudade
No doubt, you'll arrive in Sintra by train – this cosy cafe is the perfect spot for a coffee and one of Sintra's famous pastries, before exploring the town's fairy-tale palaces.
This place serves excellent coffee, big sandwiches and the cakes pastries for which Sintra is famous for.
There's always a laid-back buzz of lunching mothers, the odd tourist and young friends chatting over a cuppa.
The mother and daughter who work here are as warm and friendly as the coffee that they serve.
Right opposite Sintra's train station, it's impossible to miss.
Coffee and a pastry will come to no more than 3 euros.
