Expert review of Prive
If you are after an exclusive, fine dining experience, then you’ve come to the right place. Prive is a little out of the way, situated on Keppel Bay Marina, so it’s not somewhere you might stumble upon, which for me, makes it that little bit more alluring.
Prive serves modern European fare, with locally sourced ingredients. The Hokkaido scallops with homemade fettuccine is a signature starter dish. My other half had the rib eye steak, which was cooked to perfection, if a little on the small side. I opted for the oven roasted barramundi, which had a wonderfully crispy skin. They also do a reasonably priced set lunch menu.
Prive is all about plush wool carpets, wood paneling, designer wallpaper and white tablecloths. There’s a romantic atmosphere in the evenings, but only if you are seated near the windows looking out over the lights of the marina.
The waiters were attentive, yet not overly intrusive. They even gave me a small chair for my handbag!
Perfectly situated overlooking Keppel Bay Marina, it’s a wonderfully romantic setting.
This is by far one of the most expensive dinners we’ve had in Singapore with dinner for two people coming out at almost $300, but that was probably due to our wine selection. Never the less, set lunches starting at $32++ are good value by comparison.
Not to be confused with the more casual Prive bakery cafe next door - the ambience is lovely, but the service is hit and miss.
