Expert review of El Badulaque

A great Argentinian barbeque at very reasonable prices in the Alameda.

There are other Argentinian restaurants in town, but I like this one for a casual meaty meal. Owner Gabrielle and her staff make you feel welcome and at home.

Food and drink:

Although El Badulaque specialises in meat cooked a la parrilla (Argentinian barbeque), it also offers an interesting variety of salads and starters, including a selection of vegetarian options. The parrillada for two is a carnivore's delight. There is a short but interesting wine list at sensible prices.

Ambience:

It's laid back and a touch bohemian. Inside there is a cosy and comfortable restaurant and bar area, with a very ample terrace outside.

Service:

Service is informal and friendly.

Location:

It's in the middle of the Alameda (don't confuse it with another restaurant of the same name at the far end of the Alameda – they are two totally different menus).

Price advice:

For about 20 euros per person, including wine, you will have much trouble getting up from the table. Best value is the parrillada for two at 30 euros.
