Enjoy fine dining at Ravello's most beautiful hotel.
The setting couldn't be more perfect and I'd recommend that you spend the afternoon wandering around the beautiful gardens of Villa Cimbrone before settling down to a fabulous dinner prepared by chef Luigi Tramontano. It's worth noting that Tramontano, along with the chefs of the other two Ravello five-star hotels (Pino Lavarra of Palazzo Sasso and Mimmo di Raffaelo of Caruso) recently held a 'Déjeuner sur l'herbe' event at Villa Cimbrone where each created a dish for the delight of a host of the best chefs in Italy.
Food and drink:
During the day light lunches are available here too (of the toasted sandwich and salad variety), but dinner is the way to go. Set menus, ranging from 60 euros to 130 euros, give Tramontano the opportunity to really show what he can do with the organic fruit and veg grown at the Villa along with sourced meat and seasonal fish, whisking ingredients into a showy display of creative genius. Think fresh and delicate rather than rustic. The wine cellar is impressive too.
Ambience:
If the weather is fine, you can enjoy dinner on the terrace and drink in the best view in Ravello. But the interior isn't too shabby either: vaulted ceilings, well spaced tables, huge plate glass windows looking out over the gardens. Fellow diners could be staying at the hotel or perhaps just ticking off another name on their list of top chefs to experience.

It's a few feet from the fabulous Villa Cimbrone gardens and, if you're lucky enough to be staying here, a few more to your bed.
Price advice:
Even lunch doesn't seem so expensive when you consider the surroundings you can enjoy.
