Expert review of Marlin

Style and succulent seafood in a romantic setting by the marina.

For some inexplicable reason, this fantastic restaurant seems to remain beneath the radar of many of Tenerife's visitors. In my opinion Marlin serves the best seafood along the west coast and it does it in beautiful style and without mugging your wallet. What more does anyone want?

Food and drink:

It's a fusion of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine with the emphasis on fish and seafood. If you're a lobster lover - this is your kind of place.

Ambience:

It's popular with mainly couples and groups of friends and more locals and residents than visitors. The atmosphere is both refined and relaxed. With the silver moon on the water, evenings are inescapably on the romantic side.

Service:

The staff are professional, multi-lingual and friendly.

Location:

It's on the seafront at the up-and-coming resort of Playa San Juan. There's an open terrace at the side of the restaurant and an inside dining room.

Price advice:

It's excellent value for money. Starters average at 10 euros and main courses are 13.50 euros.

Tables to book:

For romance, try for a table on the outside terrace.
