Best for Romance - Expert review of Medina
Offering delicious, artistic food in a gorgeous historic setting in the heart of the medieval walled city of Mdina, Medina is a pleasure to be savoured. It's relaxed enough to take teenagers (as I have done) and elegant enough for a special occasion.
There is beautifully presented, delicious, imaginative Maltese and Mediterranean food.
In one of the oldest buildings in Mdina, Medina has four main areas, the delightful vine-hung courtyard, the cosy sink-into-the-sofa bar, a vaulted stone dining room with open fire in winter and a Medieval hall mostly used for private events. What more could you ask?
The staff are friendly and excellent.
It's down a narrow side street just off the main cathedral square of Mdina.
Starters are around 8-9 euros, and mains mostly 15-256 euros.
