Expert review of A Tapadinha
Truly excellent Russian fare (yes, I was surprised too) is served in a setting of Cyrillic-scripted constructivist posters, wooden dolls and austere classical Russian music.
Traditional Russian cuisine such as sturgeon, dumplings and borsch.
I always have the steak tartar – a deliciously hearty and rich stew of butter-tender raw minced beef mixed with crunchy vegetables.
Diners are plied with shots of vodka throughout the meal, creating a fun and raucous vibe.
You’ll be full of so much vodka, by the end of the night you might have to be carried out by the staff, which they’re happy to do. Sort of.
It’s in a bit of an obscure spot under the foot of the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge.
I usually spend about 30 euros, which includes a fair few beers and vodkas.
