Expert review of LD Terrace
Upmarket creative Mediterranean cuisine with a sea view in Korčula old town.
Managed by the Lesic Dimitri Palace, this restaurant is frequented by hotel residents and non-residents alike, thanks to its charming waterside location, refined menu and superb Croatian wines. Everything is prepared from local seasonal organic produce, following traditional recipes, with a few surprises.
Food and drink:
The LD Terrace starts the day with an a la carte breakfast - freshly made smoothies, homemade granola, oven-warm croissants, plus a choice of cooked dishes. Later in the day, at lunch or dinner, starters include smoked tuna carpaccio with rocket, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, followed by main courses such as lamb skewers with cucumber and yogurt dip. They also serve some of the region’s very best wines, either by the glass or by the bottle. If you come here just for a drink, try their tasty nibbles - crostini topped with sautéed wild mushrooms and sheep’s cheese, or a planjak salad (lettuce, caramelised walnuts, goats' cheese and red onion marmalade crostini).

I’d go for a private wine tasting session with a tailormade degustation menu to match – this needs booking in advance.
Ambience:
You’ll find a fairly stylish clientele here. However, with tables under the trees lining the seafront promenade, the LD Terrace is informal and romantic, with amazing views across the sea channel to the rugged mountains of Pelješac peninsular.

It's friendly and welcoming, as well as extremely professional.

It's on the tree-lined waterside promenade, just outside Korčula’s medieval town walls.
Price advice:
You'll pay in the region of 500 kuna for a two-course meal for two - though it could easily be more if you decide to splash out and choose the very top wines.
