Legendary beach bar and restaurant on the iconic Salinas beach strip.
Jockey Club was the first beach bar I ever visited on my fateful debut Ibiza holiday, mostly because I’d read all about it online and in magazines. The press wasn’t wrong – it is amazing: in the most beautiful location, packed full of cool, beautiful people and an fabulous place to while away the day... and the days after that… and the day after that one too. I love the sunbed service (the full menu served on tiny tables) and flitting between the terrace and the sand. This is the life!
Food and drink:
The menu is heavily influenced by Mediterranean cooking styles, based on fresh fish and meat dishes, but with a little bit of international fusion shining through to impress its global clientele.
Recommended dishes:
I love the sushi platters – the perfect light dish for a hot summer’s day. The sweet and sour tuna is also a classic, and I make a real point of getting here as early as I can as often as I can for the amazing ham and cheese omelette. I don’t know how they do it, but it is perfect every time!
Ambience:
The ultimate in Balearic bliss! Great tunes, a cool mix of cosmopolitan people and a laidback vibe that really makes you realise you're on holiday.
Service:
Jockey is renowned for its friendly service – many of the team have been there for more than five years and have an uncanny knack for remembering a face year after year.
Location:
Right in the centre of the iconic Las Salinas beach, with nothing but blue skies, a long stretch of sand, the sparkling Med and beautiful people for miles around.
Price advice:
Breakfast at Jockey is really affordable at around 5 euros, however for lunch the price is considerably more, around 20 euros per main.
Tables to book:
Ask for a table on the frontline of the terrace for the most spectacular view.
