Expert review of Sorabol
While the idea that Cantonese food is the best in the world is genetically implanted in all Hong Kongers, flirting with other Asian cuisines is regarded as a fair way to pass an evening. Hence the popularity of this outpost of the Korean chain.
It's very much authentic Korean, with all the staples and a few other dishes that nod in the direction of Cantonese tastes. Expect on-table cookers so you can BBQ DIY or stir that bubbling hotpot.
There are partitions between the tables, but it's a fairly rumbustious affair, with groups the rule.
Staff will assist with the on-table cookers and are generally very amenable.
Tucked up in one of Causeway Bay's sidestreets, it's easily reachable from the MTR.
HK$300 a head should see you well fed at dinner. Set lunches are good value at HK$60 or so.
There is another branch in Tsim Sha Tsui.
