Expert review of Lime
There's a substantial Thai population in Hong Kong, and this is one of the best Thai restaurants, not simply on the point of food but also as somewhere to hang out and enjoy one of the city's most happening dining districts.
There are plenty of Thai favourites, but given a bit of a twist and immaculately presented. There's also a range of Thai-themed cocktails, beer from guess-which-Asian-kingdom, and a respectable wine list.
Sanuk - having a good time - and sabai - taking it easy - are key elements of Thai culture, and are both well reflected here.
Service is relaxed and cheerful and sympathetic to foreign palates' sometime aversion to over chillification.
It's at the bottom of a new development in the heart of the SoHo nightlife area (though it's pretty lively by day, too).
It's in line with most SoHo eateries, whose landlords probably have ROI tattooed over their hearts, prices tend to be kinda pricey. HK$1,000 for two should cover everything.
There is another branch in Kennedy Town.
