The name says it all - this is pure vegetarian at its best.
Live life with a passion - and eat with it too. The food here is all utterly organic, and the restaurant's run with a firm commitment to the community and the planet in general. Throw in a cool design and location, and you've got a winner. I really take my hat off to the founders who have put their all into this place.
Food and drink:
Everything is made fresh daily, from the signature salads to the organic baked goods. The wine and beer is organic too - but fail to order a smoothie or juice and you're missing out. Grab something from the deli as a tasty souvenir too.
Recommended dishes:
Try the African sweet potato curry, avocado club sandwich, and chocolate orange cookie.
Ambience:
Life is spread over three floors (the roof's packed as soon as the sun comes out), with interiors made from reclaimed teak and world music piped through the stereo system. The healthy atmosphere is palpable. Expect to see lots of spouses who don't need to work (predominantly female expats) at lunch and during the afternoon.
Service:
The service is well informed and cheerily espousing Life's ethos.
Location:
It is beside the outdoor escalator that runs through SoHo, in an old-style three-storey building. There is not much in the way of a view from the roof terrace, unless you are fond of gazing at inner city tenement blocks.
Price advice:
Most dishes are priced well below HK$100.
