Expert review of Jo'Burger
This is Dublin's favourite burger joint, and mine too. First things first - the burgers are magnificent. Secondly, the whole set up is carefree and fun, with Beano comics as menus and board games such as Scrabble along the walls, and when the DJ kicks off at 7pm spinning oh so cool music, after a bubbly Belgian beer, all you want to do is jump up and dance up and down those long wooden benches..the chilled staff probably wouldn't even notice!
I'll have mine nude please..... that's without the bun. Pick and choose your style of burger - choose from one of the quality organic options, then add your dressing, then the carbohydrate. A healthy burger (falafel, chicken) is an option, served in a tasty wrap with a salad, or you can go all out with a creamy homemade sauce or relish, along with the AMAZING sweet potato fries, oh yes. It's the best hangover cure in Dublin. And the portions are huge.
Try the chicken or falafel, in a wrap, with Protea sauce and sweet potato fries. The salads are great too.
It's rough and ready, but that's its appeal. Everyone sits along long wooden benches, and it can be a bit of a scrum at busy times, but that only adds to the fun. There are no linen tablecloths in sight.
The staff are chilled out student types. The service depends on their mood.
It's in Rathmines, 10-minutes walk from the city centre, in Dublin 6.
It's all great value - approximately 15 euros. The burgers are big enough for sharing with fries.
Good luck! You'll be queuing at peak times.
