Best for Romance - Expert review of L'Gueuleton
I once had an out-of-body experience over the foie gras starter here, and that was the start of one of the most memorable evenings I’ve spent over food and wine in Dublin. Yes high praise, but credit where credit is due, L’Gueuleton gets it right on so many counts.
All the dishes are French through and through, using the freshest Irish ingredients, plus an amazing selection of French wines, sherry and cognac, but of course.
Try the French onion soup or foie gras for starters. The Toulouse sausage is the chef's choice, or the steak is to die for.
Dark lighting, intimate seating - there is no messing around, this is romantic, and social.
Fast but not always with a smile! You can't book ahead, be prepared and willing to wait.
It's in the city centre, off George’s Street.
There is a 12.5% surcharge on parties of five or more, which is cheeky in this day and age.
You can't book! But tables by the window are the most atmospheric if you can grab one.
