Expert review of Mirador de na Foradada
It’s true. It really is little more than a beach bar, albeit a very modern one with smooth tiled floors, large picture windows and smart tables and chairs. It’s small though, and the food is what you’d expect of any beach joint. It also has a spectacular, if blustery, terrace with views over the famed Sa Foradada (pierced rock).
All the usual suspects - good chipirones (fried baby squid), decent paella and fideuas (the noodle equivalent of paella), OK salads. But wow, what a spot.
Mirador de na Foradada is bright, busy and bustling: a no-nonsense kind of a place.
I found the service a little brusque, but frankly, with these views you could forgive anything.
Clinging to the cliff-top like a bird about to take off, the setting is spectacular in every way.
The lunch menu, amazingly, is a very reasonable at 11.50 euros. Expect to spend around 7.50 euros on a salad, 8 euros on fried goodies like the chipirones and 12.50 euros on a paella.
Try to sit as close to the window as possible, unless you get vertigo (in which case perhaps a little further back in the room).
