Expert review of Les Trois Cochons
Don't expect massive choice at Trois Cochons - you get a couple of choices from the menu of the day, but do expect polished French bistro dishes and terrific value.
French bistro classics are the staples here, served with robust pichets of red or white (there is also a bottle wine list to choose from too).
Les Trois Cochons isn't trying to break the mould so a revolving menu of classics - like foie gras, roast poussin, ham terrine, steak frites - is what you'll find here.
Smart and modern, the dining room is nice enough. Always full when I've visited, this is a bustling, busy place.
Efficient, perhaps sometimes a little brusque, the service is much like the food. It delivers what it promises without much flourish.
It's tucked out in Vesterbro, so it is a mission to get to from the centre but it is worth considering all the same for the excellent value it offers.
The fixed, three-course evening menu is one of the city's great dining bargains, very welcome given Copenhagen's reputation for being a pricey city.
