This inner city spot oozes cool with a laid-back comfort menu to match.
I can almost imagine a gaggle of Chicago gangsters noshing down on steaks at this stylish spot, where leather banquettes and black and white checkered floors set the tone. It's situated in the beautifully restored New Space Theatre building and is proving to be a popular pre- and post-theatre supper and cocktails spot.
Food and drink:
Easy-eating favourites are the order of the day here.
Recommended dishes:
I'm a fan of the burger - served straight up with a smear of mustard, a slice of cheese, gherkins, fresh tomato and lots of skinny fries. My fiancée loves their steaks and their mussels are great too. For pure nostalgia, order the Mac & Cheese.
Ambience:
It's laid back, oh-so-cool and filled with the city's twenty and thirty something party set.
Service:
The service here needs work, staff can be overwhelmed with big tables and the result is missed drinks orders and longer than necessary waiting for food.
