Best for Value for money - Expert review of Domaine de Lintillac

Cosy traditional eatery serving specialties from Southern France.

This quaint and cosy restaurant is full of yesteryear charm; the food is consistently excellent and exceedingly good value.

Food and drink:

The majority of the products served here are sourced from French farmers who use traditional rearing methods. Vegetarians look away: they specialise in foie gras and confit de canard; jars of which are also available for purchase.

Ambience:

Homely and laidback thanks to the checkered red-and-white tablecloths, partially exposed beams and brick walls; and all the tables feature toasters with a message from the proprietor scribbled on the side. It’s popular with couples (young and old) and families.

Service:

Polite and attentive.

Location:

In the northwest of town, a short stroll from Place St-Catherine, on the same street as Le Crachin and Le Pré Salé .

Price advice:

Foie gras starters 12 euros; mains 10—11 euros.

Tables to book:

The front half of the restaurant has more charm
